On this week’s episode, Marco Pimentel sat down with Desirée Dupuis, VP Sales & Marketing at Cascadia Seaweed. With over 18 years of marketing experience, Desirée is passionate about living a life of purpose and making a substantial impact in the world by creating permanent sustainable change. Cascadia Seaweed is based on Vancouver Island in the town of Sidney, BC and is growing to become the largest provider of ocean cultivated seaweed, which only requires sea and sun to grow! Seaweed sequesters nearly 200 million ton of C02 every year. That’s nearly as much as New York state’s annual emission as a crop. The company also launched Kove Ocean Foods, an in-house brand of seaweed products available in stores and online. Not only is seaweed climate-friendly but is rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants and is proven to be extremely beneficial to our health.
