In this week’s episode, Marco Pimentel sat down with Felix Böck, Founder & CEO of ChopValue, a certified B Corp. based in Vancouver, Canada that creates high-performance circular economy designs made entirely with recycled bamboo chopsticks. Hailing from South Germany, Felix came to Canada to complete a Ph.D at the University of British Columbia in Innovation on Composite Materials with bamboo as the main natural fibre resource. With ChopValue micro-factories now operating globally, and with partners like Vancouver Airport and Cadillac Fairview, fifty million chopsticks have been recycled and transformed, and diverted from the landfill.
